Privacy policy
HerGifts.in ("HerGifts", "we", "us") is a gift ideas website owned and operated by Evavel Private Limited. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have written it with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 in mind.
The short version
- You can browse the whole site without giving us any personal information.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.
- We do not run our own advertising or tracking cookies.
- When you click a link to Amazon.in or FNP, you leave our site and their privacy policies apply.
What we collect
Information you give us
If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and the message you write. We use this only to reply to you.
Information stored on your own device
Our wishlist feature saves the gift ideas you heart in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device. We cannot see it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Technical information
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the website securely and protect it from abuse. We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to understand which pages are popular. This data is aggregated and does not identify you.

Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers who help us run the site:
- Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery and security.
- Web3Forms to deliver contact form messages to our inbox.
We may disclose information if required by law or a lawful order from a government authority.
Affiliate links and third-party websites
Many links on HerGifts.in go to Amazon.in and FNP (Ferns N Petals). Some of these may be affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click one, the retailer or the affiliate network may place cookies on your browser to record the referral. Anything you buy, and any details you share there, is handled under that retailer's own privacy policy. We do not receive your name, address or payment details from them.
How long we keep data
We keep contact form messages for as long as needed to answer your query and for a reasonable period afterwards for record keeping, after which we delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct, complete or update your data.
- Ask us to erase your data, and withdraw any consent you gave.
- Have your complaints addressed by our Grievance Officer.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
To use any of these rights, write to us through the contact page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
HerGifts.in is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections and we limit the personal data we collect in the first place. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when it last changed.
